I do know exactly what I am talking about when I talk about Spurlock's in Lafayette. If you read the entry, I am talking about exactly what happened while I was there. I also write about how poorly we were treated that night and subsequently when I tried to call the restaurant to talk to the manager. (I would like to reiterate that our server TJ was fantastic and was in no way the reason for our dissatisfaction.)

As for the writing shit about a restaurant that just opened...Spurlock's had been open for months when I visited. I visited Lafayette City Grill just a week ago (and just 2 weeks after they opened) and recieved perfect service. So much for that 'just opened' defense, huh? I don't often leave a 35% tip...but we did that night at LCG.

Moving on - About the second chance thing. That is why I called the restaurant to speak with the manager. I was more than willing to go back to Spurlock's - and even mention that I would in my original post. After my treatment on the phone, though, I would absolutely never return. I have worked in retail/customer relations for over 10 years. I know that once you piss off a customer, there is no second chance.
