Thanks for the tips...

Well it seems like you don't know what the fuck you are talking about, you worthless piece of shit. Is this all you have time for is to write shit about a restaurant that just recently opened?? What happened to a second chance in this world today??? Why don't you go cock blow your fag friend and while your down there plug his asshole too!!! You fuck stain.

I would like to thank Mr(s). Anonymous - from Danville, IN using RoadRunner High Speed, for visiting from their Mac Safari browser at IP address 24.208.213.121.

I do know exactly what I am talking about when I talk about Spurlock's in Lafayette. If you read the entry, I am talking about exactly what happened while I was there. I also write about how poorly we were treated that night and subsequently when I tried to call the restaurant to talk to the manager. (I would like to reiterate that our server TJ was fantastic and was in no way the reason for our dissatisfaction.)

As for the writing shit about a restaurant that just opened...Spurlock's had been open for months when I visited. I visited Lafayette City Grill just a week ago (and just 2 weeks after they opened) and recieved perfect service. So much for that 'just opened' defense, huh? I don't often leave a 35% tip...but we did that night at LCG.

Moving on - About the second chance thing. That is why I called the restaurant to speak with the manager. I was more than willing to go back to Spurlock's - and even mention that I would in my original post. After my treatment on the phone, though, I would absolutely never return. I have worked in retail/customer relations for over 10 years. I know that once you piss off a customer, there is no second chance.

And now my favorite part of the comment.
Why don't you go cock blow your fag friend and while your down there plug his asshole too!!! You fuck stain.

First of all, cock blow is a term I have never heard before...but I think I can figure out what it means - and sign me up. Ohh, and plugging his ass...one of my absolute favorite things to do. You wanna volunteer?

With a Creamy Google Center

Image hosting by TinyPic

It's been all the rage over the 'sphere today to find your 'Google Center', so here I go. Basically, you go to Google Maps and type in the name of your city - with no address...zoom in and see where the middle takes you. There's your Google Center. I actually did put in an address so I could get a little pointer-dealie thing. I am not a complete freak that just knows all the addresses in Lafayette, I used to live 2 blocks north of the mark. (It's 1000 South Street here in Lafayette...A dentist's office if I remember correctly.) So, there is your little peek of what my city looks like from the sky.

Stick a fork in me...I'm done!

Seriously...I would like to thank American Idol for introducing me to my husband. OK, sure I don't know if he's gay, or anything else about him...Hell, I don't even know him at all. But, I am pretty sure Ace and I were meant to be together. ;)

Tonight, when Brett 'Ace' Young sang George Michael's 'Father Figure' I discovered that I have found my match, lol. When he sang, "I will be your daddy," I decided that he should be my baby's daddy. I haven't decided what it is about him that I love...he's NOT like any other guy I have thought of as 'hot', but no word better describes him in my mind.

His website acemusic dot com has been down for a while...Under Construction, you know...but I am looking forward to seeing some more of him.

OK...If it doesn't work out with Ace, I will take Chris Daughtry.....for all my dirty boy fantasies. :)

For now, though, I am off to bed to actually watch RENT. I bought it yesterday and was excited to watch the special features. I jammied up and got in bed after I put in the disc. OH...there aren't any special features on the first disc. So, I got back out of my warm bed and put in disc 2. After I was snuggled all in again, I realized something horrible. It didn't have any special features either! After an exhaustive investigation (aka - a glance at the discs) I realized that I got 2 copies of disc1 in my package. BOO! So, I have to go back to fye today to exchange it...it was kinda of serendipitous, though, because I had mistakenly grabbed the full-screen version yesterday by accident. So, now I am off to bed to watch the REAL second disc.

Have a good night, kids.

If you had to give up all sexual activity for one year, how much money would you demand (minimum) in return?

Leave you answer in comments.

Failure to Launch

Yesterday I got invites to an advance screening tonight of 'Failure to Launch' with SJP and Matthew McConaughey. I thought it would be exciting so Lynn and I headed to The Landing after work. The theater was completely full and the movie was really good. I was actually thinking that I would like to see the movie, but not pay $10 for it, lol. I figured it would be something that I would wait for the DVD and then forget to rent it until a year from now when I happened across it in the $7.99 bin at Hollywood Video. It was a complete surprise...such a hilarious movie and we are already making plans to see again...and pay this time. I will tell you that Zooey Deschanel steals the move as Paula's friend/roommate Kit. Absolutely crazy and I want to be her friend. After the movie Lynn and I went out for Italian and then went for Cheesecake Factory cheesecake...yummy.

I also stopped by fye today and bought RENT...for $20 with a $7 rebate - how awesome is that?

I am off to watch RENT...or as much of it as I can before I fall asleep. I really wish I could pick my own days off, lol.

Google Round-up

OK, someone else has decided not to bookmark my page, but just remember a random search that brings them here. This is the 3rd time in 4 days that someone from the Bronx has gotten here from a Google search for sandals "drunk all weekend". Still not sure how I feel about being the #3 result for that one, lol.

Another good one came a couple days ago...and really is a very valid question: gays live where in Indiana. I would like to find some more, too...point me in the right direction. (Also note - I am again the 3rd result.)

I have also been very popular with people wanting to find Marshall Field's recipes, whether it be for enchilada sauce or popovers.

I have moved into the #1 result spot with my horrible review of Spurlock's Restaurant Lafayette, Indiana. You would think someone from the restaurant would Google themselves and see what I had written...and maybe try to rectify the situation so I wasn't the first thing a customer would see if they were looking online for a menu or directions, lol.

Throw in all the random searches about Jay McCarrol being drunk at a dinner party (big whoop), Ringside - Tired of Being Sorry (so over it), the TomKat break-up (just hurry up), and random bits about A Million Little Pieces (I still like the book) and it has been a super-duper busy weekend around here. ;)

I'm Free

don't grieve for me
for now i'm free
i'm following the path
god laid for me
i took his hand
when i heard him call
i turned my back
and left it all

i could not stay another day
to laugh, to love, to work or play
tasks left undone must stay that way
i found that place at the close of day
if my parting has left a void
then fill it with remembered joy
a friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss
ah yes, these things i, too, will miss

be not burdened
with times of sorrow
i wish you the
sunshine of tomorrow
my life's been full
i've savored much
good friends, good times
a loved one's touch

Perhaps my my time
seems all too brief
don't lengthen it now
with undue grief
lift up your heart
and share with me
god wanted me now
he set me free

That poem was read at my mother's funeral. Thursday, January 7th, 1999. She was 40 years old. I have spoken more about my mother's death here than I have with most people in my life. After my mother's death, I fell into a deep depression and spoke to no one about it. It was a month later that I even mentioned in passing to my best friend that my mother died. He was hurt that I hadn't shared just a monumental event in my life with him. The problem was that I didn't know how to explain such a thing. I was 18 years old. None of my friends had lost a parent. How do you try to explain to someone so young, and perhaps immature, the feelings of loss that are coursing through you?

I decided the easiest way would be to avoid it at all costs. I hid within myself the sorrow and heart-breaking emptiness that was consuming me. I spiraled deeper into the depression that I had courted throughout high school. I resumed classes on Monday, January 11th - exactly one week after my mother's death. Months went by before I actually began to tell people the truth of what had happened, but I never told anyone the depths to which I had sunk. It was too hard to get out of bed. It was too much to expect of myself. I might make it to class twice a week. I stopped going to work. I began to avoid my friends in an effort to avoid myself. I did more than avoid myself - I lost myself. I was living by definition only.

My friends finally began to worry and tried to help in the only way people of that age can, I think. They invited me to dinner, to movies, to coffee. I didn't want to worry my friends, so I went. I went. I went. But I wasn't there. I learned quickly how easy it was to put on what I started to call 'The Face'. I could be in public as long as I had 'The Face' on. 'The Face' is not a look or an action...it was an entire way of being. A way of hiding myself behind a facade of what seemed normal. I became a shell of a person. I was shallow. When an animal observes and copies behavior, it is not because they comprehend what their actions mean, but because they have seen it and it is normal. This was true of me. I laughed and smiled. I told stories and shared in celebration. But, I still wasn't there.

Nine months after my mother's death I went to see Nobel Prize winning author Toni Morrison speak at Elliott Hall of Music. She came to celebrate the 125th anniversary of the Purdue Library system. She read the end of each of her seven novels in order to give insight into her process. It was something she said that night, more than 6 years ago, that changed me.
"I have begun many books when I had no idea what the beginning was," she said, "but I cannot start writing until I know the ending — actually see the image, the picture."
I knew my mother's ending. Her book had been written. I couldn't however, know my own end. This could not be my story. I wasn't ready yet. My end was not yet on paper - not even a thought. I started to live again. I still need to work on my ending.

Daniel Powter - Bad Day

Where is the moment we need at the most
You kick up the leaves and the magic is lost
They tell me your blue skies fade to grey
They tell me your passion's gone away
And I don't need no carryin' on

You stand in the line just to hit a new low
You're faking a smile with the coffee to go
You tell me your life's been way off line
You're falling to pieces everytime
And I don't need no carryin' on

Cause you had a bad day
You're taking one down
You sing a sad song just to turn it around
You say you don't know
You tell me don't lie
You work at a smile and you go for a ride
You had a bad day
The camera don't lie
You're coming back down and you really don't mind
You had a bad day
You had a bad day

Well you need a blue sky holiday
The point is they laugh at what you say
And I don't need no carryin' on

You had a bad day
You're taking one down
You sing a sad song just to turn it around
You say you don't know
You tell me don't lie
You work at a smile and you go for a ride
You had a bad day
The camera don't lie
You're coming back down and you really don't mind
You had a bad day

(Oh.. Holiday..)

Sometimes the system goes on the blink
And the whole thing turns out wrong
You might not make it back and you know
That you could be well oh that strong
And I'm not wrong

(yeah...)

So where is the passion when you need it the most
Oh you and I
You kick up the leaves and the magic is lost

Cause you had a bad day
You're taking one down
You sing a sad song just to turn it around
You say you don't know
You tell me don't lie
You work at a smile and you go for a ride
You had a bad day
You've seen what you like
And how does it feel for one more time
You had a bad day
You had a bad day

***I know I just put the audio of this up as Music of the Moment this morning, but I just found the video on YouTube and I've been loving it for a couple weeks.

Lafayette City Grill

Ooooh, the last time I wrote about a restaurant I ate at, it was NOT GOOD! Needless to say, we have not been back to Spurlock's in downtown Lafayette and won't be any time soon.

Saturday night, though, Holly called me and asked if I wanted to go to Lafayette City Grill. Well, I had just hung out with GirlInBlack Friday night and she told me it was FANTASTIC. (In the interest of full disclosure, I must say that we are friends with one of the owners...and have been looking forward to the opening for about 3 months.) I called to make reservations and, luckily, they had one table for 2 left for the evening. We got there at 9:15 and were greeted by one of the owner's mothers. She was a lovely woman and lead us to our table. Our server went to high school with Holly and was really friendly. I also saw my friend Jamie was working there and he waved from the kitchen when he saw me.

The menu was absolutely amazing. (You can see it by clicking here, and then on Menus.) We decided that since this was our first time there, we were going to do it right and get every course. We started with the Deviled Egg du jour. There were two choices: salmon mousse or chipotle cream. We picked the chipotle and they came with a little cabbage salad that was light and delicious. We both picked the mixed green salad with garlic herb vinaigrette. The salads are small - but exactly the size to get you ready for your dinner. I chose the Marinated Grilled Breast of Chicken served with prosciutto-wrapped asparagus in a citrus beur blanc sauce and Holly had the Alaskan Salmon with a soy marinade and wasabi foam with a glass of white wine. The food was ridiculously good...and we got stupid for a good 5 minutes while we began to eat. We finally regained our senses when Joe (one of the owners) came by our table to see if everything was ok.

We were WAY more than ok...the food was the best I have had in months...and definitely the best I have ever had in Lafayette. The chef used to be at Bistro 501, where I have eaten a few times, but I am pretty sure he's gotten better since the last time I ate there, lol. Holly and I finished our entrees almost simultaneously and looked at each other with a mix of satisfaction and disappointment. We were DEFINITELY having dessert. :)

Holly ordered a dark chocolate truffle and a glass of port. I got the chocolate almond cake. First of all, both desserts were enormous and were presented beautifully. Holly took her first bite and I laughed when I looked up at her. I commented, "You look like you would rather die than swallow at this point." Then she gave me a bite to prove the point...it really was so good you wanted it to last forever. My cake was so light and covered in a whipped chocolate ganache and covered in sliced almonds. Absolute heaven.

It hardly mattered to us what we were spending...it would have been worth every penny no matter what the cost. Imagine our surprise, then, when we got the bill and all of our food (and 2 glasses of wine) was only $52! After the tip, we had only spent $70 and every morsel was amazing.

GO GO GO to Lafayette City Grill.

I would love to say this post was inflated to make Spurlock's look even worse...unfortunately, that's hardly possible.

Trev Diesel

We have ANOTHER new Music of the Moment. Can you hardly stand it? I know... I'll give you a moment to collect yourself.

Our new song is one of my favorites from a local guy. Trev Diesel is a Lafayette act that is just fantastic. (I hope he doesn't mind me saying he's kinda cute, too...lol)

'Parachute' is the title track of his just-released disc "The Parachute EP". I am always horrible at trying to explain an artists work, so I will let his website do the talking.

Singer/songwriter Trev Diesel's music is a diverse blend of styles with one thing in common: catchy, well-written songs that are both lyrically significant and musically interesting. Through sing-along melodies and head-bopping grooves, he presents a unique musical offering that will engage listeners' hearts, minds and souls.

A classically trained student of both guitar and percussion, Trev studied music composition at Ball State University before going on to be a part of such bands as redletterproject and roebuck[bevy]. Now performing as a solo artist, Trev Diesel's live act has begun to win an audience through stellar musicianship and interactive stage shows.

Trev's first major solo recording, The Parachute EP (2006), is a collection of crowd favorites from his outstanding live sets. An eclectic blend of pop, rock, jam, funk, reggae and jazz, the EP showcases his abilities as a skilled lyricist, singer, guitarist, and songwriter. The instantly memorable melodies, intelligent lyrics, and emotional vocal presentation coupled with the vibrant musicianship on behalf of his players and the sleek, warm capture of sound by the production team make these songs a refreshing diversion from the norm.

You can get your own copy of the 6-track EP on the Merchandise page of TrevDiesel[dotcom] for only $8.50 including shipping and handling. If you like what you hear, I strongly suggest picking up this debut recording from one of my locals. :)

Champagne is Yummy...

We headed to the Knickerbocker last night for Valentine's day festivities and bitterness. Holly had to be there at 8:00 for a poker tournament, so Lynn and I showed up together around 10:00. When we walked in our friend Karl was finishing a set and about to go on break and Casey was at the door. One of the things they were doing was having single people pick a playing card at the door. (Girls pick from the red deck, boys from the blue.) The plan was, at the end of the night, to match people up by their cards and hopefully introduce some people. I agonized over which color to pick. If I picked blue, there could be a very disappointed lady at the end of the night. Pick a red card - could be a very upset man at the end of the night, lol. In the end, I just went ahead and took a blue card...the 3 of hearts. Lynn made sure Casey shuffled the cards really well before she picked hers...she got the 3 of hearts, too. It was funny - we did the whole, "Oh, sweetheart, it really was meant to be!" and all that, but then decided that Lynn should pick a new card.

We went to a table and ordered drinks, but then realized that if it was just going to be the two of us we should sit at the bar. As soon as we sat down Crystal and her boyfriend came in, so we moved back to the table. Before long we were joined by so many people we had to scoot another table over. Holly finished her poker game (which she won! You can see her standings here.) She had won $50 and a bunch of other little prizes. Pretty soon we had 2 whole tables of people and people standing all around us.

Crystal and her boyf were going to be one of the couples playing the 'Newlywed Game' and they ended up winning, too! YAY winners! By the time they got back to the table we had been joined by even more people, pulled over a third table and still had people standing around us, sitting at booths next to us and at the bar turned around to face us. We were feeling rather popular last night, lol.

Jeff came around and gave us raffle tickets for little doorprizes they had set up. I got my number called...YAY more winnging! I got a really cool bottle opener and a t-shirt. To celebrate all of our winning and our good mood we ordered a bottle of champagne and our crowd grew even larger, lol. By the end of the night, we had seen probably 75% of our friends and acquaintances.

It was a really fun night - and as soon as Lynn got over her bitterness we all had a lot of fun.

I had to work till 9:30 tonight and I am just beat...I am really looking forward to my 3-day weekend coming up!

HAPPY V.D.!

I am talking about, of course, the warm tingly feeling that can only mean one thing. Love? No. Gonorrhea. :( Bad juju, babies. Wrap it up. :)

In other news... Welcome to single hell. Today, of course, is Valentine's Day and couples everywhere are pukingly romantic towards each other. I didn't have to work today, so luckily I was spared all the women in red sweaters and the flower deliveries. Thank God. This marks I don't know how many Valentine's Days that I have been single. I think since high school I have only been with someone on 2 ValDays. And those were a while ago, lol. Almost every relationship I have had has been between my birthday (April) and the holidays. Not only do I miss out on Valentine's Day, I miss birthday and xmas gifts, too! lol

Tonight we are going to the Bitter Ball at the Knickerbocker on 5th. It should be a good time...I think. I didn't go last year, so I don't know if it is a lot of people that are fine with being single on ValDay or a bunch of people that are looking for that last chance to say they got laid, lol.

If you could spend one whole night alone with anyone in the world who is currently alive, who would you select?

Suddenly I See

We can't even trust our Vice President to have a gun without shooting someone. There's an argument for gun control if I ever heard one. I just think it's hilarious. (Not for the guy that got shot, obviously.) Let's not give our senior citizen heart patients hunting guns, ok?

I bought a new cd yesterday...and you know what that means...New Music of the Moment for you! YAY! I picked up KT Tunstall's CD Eye to the Telescope on my lunchbreak. I haven't even had a chance to listen to it all the way through, though, because I keep skipping and replaying this song.

KT Tunstall - Suddenly I See

Her face is a map of the world
Is a map of the world
You can see she's a beautiful girl
She's a beautiful girl
And everything around her is a silver pool of light
The people who surround her feel the benefit of it
It makes you calm
She holds you captivated in her palm

Suddenly I see
This is what I wanna be
Suddenly I see
Why the hell it means so much to me

I feel like walking the world
Like walking the world
You can hear she's a beautiful girl
She's a beautiful girl
She fills up every corner like she's born in black and white
Makes you feel warmer when you're trying to remember
What you heard
She likes to leave you hanging on a wire

Suddenly I see

And she's taller than most
And she's looking at me
I can see her eyes looking from a page in a magazine
Oh she makes me feel like I could be a tower
A big strong tower
She got the power to be
The power to give
The power to see

Suddenly I see

If you were to be granted one wish, what would it be?

Leave your answer in comments.

OOOH! It's New and Shiny!

I am going to do something new starting this week on TragicDemise. Above you will find a post titled "if of the day". Each day (mostly, lol) I will post a new 'if' for you to answer in the comment section. We're starting out with an easy one...but some of them will be tricky.

I had to work today till 7:00 and then Lynn and I headed to the Landing for a movie. When we got there, though, we had just missed the start of 'When a Stranger Calls' and didn't see anything else worth watching that started in the next hour or so. Instead, we headed over to Borders and hung out there for a couple hours. We snagged armloads of magazines and went to a couple chairs over in the music section. We spent at least an hour flipping thought magazines looking for my perfect new haircut, but kept getting distracted by hot men. (It didn't help that we picked out Genre, OUT, XY, Instinct, etc. lol) We finally found it in GQ and now I know what to show Shelby on Tuesday.

We were going to go to Panera for coffee, but we had spent so much time at Borders that they had already closed, so we headed home. I just realized, actually, that I missed Des Wives and Grey's. :( Sad day.

Keep tuning in for more ifs!

Drive for Five

I know what I want for Christmas this year. (Early, I know.) I have an Olympic-sized crush on gold medalist Chad Hedrick. I watched him race to his first gold medal last night and there is something about his Texan accent that makes me melt, lol.

The fact that 4 years ago he wasn't even an ice skater...makes it even better. I am looking forward to his other 4 races.

(It might have a little bit to do with how great his ass looks in his little skateing suit thingey...lol)

The Cartoons

There has been a lot of talk about the cartoons that were (and weren't) published in Europe last fall. None of the newspapers I read will print them, so I searched around and found them. I have talked to a few people that were curious to see them, so I am posting them here for all to see. I am not going to say much about them...mostly because I am a little conflicted. On one hand, I fiercely believe in free speech and expression. On the other hand, though, I tend to be rather sensitive to things that may offend. So here they are and that's that.

Click, Bitches (Clitches)

First of all, I would like to welcome everyone's favorite Fauxmosexual back to blogging. After a (LONG) hiatus, he has started updating You Think He's a....Fauxmo? again lately. Tune in!

Also - I have a new obsession. I finally fell victim to the MySpace trap, lol. I had been a member for a long time, but recently started actually using it to find some old friends and make some new ones. If you have MySpace, click on mine here to check out my profile and add me. :)

One more thing. Some of you may know that I am a watch whore. I have more than a dozen now, mostly Kenneth Cole or Geoffrey Beene. I am going to buy at least one in the coming weeks. Since I can't make up my mind, I thought I would see if any of you guys have an opinion. The first one is called 'Static' from Tokyo Bay. Under the face are 2 dials that rotate under the face and reveal the time in the window at the 9:00 position. The second you see there is called 'Frank Gehry Writes Time' and is from Fossil. It's pretty unique in how it tells time. At 11:30 it will say 'half past 11'...at 12:14 it will say '14 past 12'...and so on (All done in Frank Gehry's handwriting.) One is $65 and one is $150, but I don't want that to affect your decision...just let me know whichone you think is the coolest/best. Thanks for your input, guys!

"The Olympic Spirit is neither the property of one race nor of one age." Pierre de Coubertin

As I watch the first moments of NBC's coverage of the Olympic Opening Ceremonies I am stricken again and again - nearly constantly - with goosebumps.

It's not the stories of athletic prowess...not the uplifting life stories of the competitors...not even the beauty of the Italian landscape.

These great games remind me, most of all, how small the world is. And how we are reminded far too infrequently about our human sameness.

In Torino, for the next 17 days, the best from across the globe will come together to compete against - and celebrate with - each other. If only the rest of us could do the same.

*****UPDATE - We all know that music is the universal language, but who knew the common theme is early 80's video music? Seriously, what was up with the Parade of Nations?

OK, So Here's The Thing -

Here's the thing.

Heres the thing.

heres the thing.

heresthething.

heresthething

I dunno what the thing is.

I don't know what is going on. I don't know what to call it. It could be Seasonal Affective Disorder. It could be depression. It might just be apathy. I haven't had anything to talk about - nothing to say. I haven't been doing anything...haven't been talking to anyone (save David...Hey D!).

This was how I felt all week last week. Then, on Saturday, Lynn called me after work and asked if I wanted to go out and play. We headed to the Knickerbocker for a drink and soon realized that it wasn't what we were looking for. We took a quick trip across the river to Chauncey and headed to Where Else? for some dancing. I didn't realize that a quick change of plans would turn into a huge gay reunion. As we walked in the door I though I saw an old friend Jake from across the bar. The last I knew, Jake had moved to Arizona, though, so I didn't think anything of it.

After Lynn and I got our drinks, I realized I had left my cigarettes in my pocket when I checked my coat. (Yeah - we can still smoke in bars.) I went back to the coat check to get them and as I was rifling through my wallet for the ticket he said, "Don't worry about it - I remember you...cute black wool car coat, right?" This caught me by surprise. He had seen at least 25 people hand him coats since I was up there and he remembered not only seeing me - but what coat I was wearing, too. (And must have paid pretty close attention because he knew it was a car coat and not a pea coat that everyone else around here has.) I told him I just needed in the pocket for a minute and he said, "Good, I wouldn't want you to leave so soon." "Thanks." "No problem, sweetie." (hmm...that sure put my dar on alert, lol.)

Anyway, when I got back to Lynn the new Eminem song came on and we headed for the dance floor. When we got there I saw my Maybe-Jake a few people over. When I saw him lean into the cutie next to him and kiss - I knew I had found my man. ;) After a few songs, we went to the back bar to get another drink and ran into him there. We had the regular kiss-kiss hello and started chatting. While we were talking, my attenion wandered back to the dance floor. There was a whole gaggle of faggots on the upper level! Lynn and I headed up and started dancing with my old friends Jamie, Erik, and Tony. Jamie and I had the typical gay hello after a long absence. (We complimented each other's hair and asses, lol.) We had a blast with all the boys and Lynn had an apt observance...She had just met almost as many of my friends than she had in the entire 2 years we have known each other. The whole group of us danced till last call and Lynn proclaimed Jamie's ass 'The Best in the Bar'...although I think she had only felt a couple dozen of them.

As they were pushing us out the door at 3:00 we stopped to get our coats. The coat guy still remembered me and made some small talk as he got my coat. I was sure he was gay by this point, but I knew that I was too tired to be cute and too drunk to be witty, so we took our leave. We met up with the boys outside on the sidewalk and did the hugs/kisses thing and promised to see each other again. As we headed down the sidewalk, I thought about how nice it was to be all bundled up with a slight buzz walking through the streets of Chauncey. We headed towards Triple XXX for breakfast, but it was packed and we decided to just head home.

We were supposed to go to Britt's house on Sunday for the end of the Super Bowl and Grey's Anatomy, but Lynn and Britt were both sick from the night before and our plans were trashed.

I am planning on a haircut soon - I think. I have had a recent crisis in that the two people I trust to cut my hair have moved. My friend Shelby is finishing up at a beauty academy downtown and just needs a few haircuts to finish up. I am going to give her a chance, I think. I found the hair I want, and it's pretty similar to what my hair is naturally approaching. I have searched all over the internets for the pics but can't find them. If you happen to have an old issue of Vitals Man magazine with Adrien Brody on the cover, you can find the hair in the feature article on Lou Taylor Pucci.

So, there's a post - that wasn't so painful. Maybe I can get back into the swing of things on here. Feel free to leave me a comment if you're still reading - I think I will be motivated to write if I know people are still out there, lol.

Thanks y'all!
